1. Introduction
1.1 These Terms and Conditions govern your membership, participation, and engagement with the National Federation of the Sport of Padel (hereafter referred to as the "Federation") in New Zealand.
1.2 By joining, participating, or engaging with the Federation, you agree to adhere to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
2. Definitions
2.1 "Member" refers to any individual, organization, or entity who has registered or is affiliated with the Federation.
2.2 "Padel" refers to the sport of padel as regulated by the Federation and its governing bodies.
2.3 "Competition" refers to any official padel competition organized or sanctioned by the Federation.
3. Membership
3.1 Eligibility: To become a member of the Federation, individuals must meet the requirements set forth by the Federation, which may include age, skill level, and registration processes.
3.2 Rights and Privileges: As a member, you are entitled to participate in Federation events, receive communications, and access resources provided by the Federation.
3.3 Fees: Membership fees may apply and are subject to change annually. Members will be notified in advance of any changes to membership fees.
3.4 Termination: Membership may be terminated at the discretion of the Federation, based on actions that contravene the Federation's rules or regulations.
4. Code of Conduct
4.1 All members and participants are expected to behave with respect, fairness, and integrity during all activities related to the Federation, including but not limited to competitions, training, and social events.
4.2 Discriminatory, offensive, or harmful behavior will not be tolerated. Violations may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or expulsion from the Federation.
4.3 The Federation reserves the right to monitor and enforce conduct through its appointed officials and disciplinary committees.

5. Registration Process
5.1 Registration Platform: All Players must register through the official Padel New Zealand website or other authorised platforms.
5.2 Fees: Registration fees, if applicable, must be paid in full prior to the registration closing date. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or at the sole discretion of Padel New Zealand.
5.3 Information Accuracy: By registering, you warrant that all information you provide is truthful, accurate, and up to date. Padel New Zealand reserves the right to verify the information provided and to deny entry if any details are found to be incorrect or misleading.
6. Player Obligations
6.1 Compliance: Players must comply with all Tournament rules, the Sports Integrity Code, player conduct guidelines, anti-doping regulations, and any additional policies or directives communicated by Padel New Zealand or relevant governing bodies.
6.2 Behaviour: Players must maintain high standards of sportsmanship, fair play, and respect towards tournament officials, volunteers, sponsors, spectators, and other competitors.
6.3 Equipment: Players are responsible for ensuring they have the appropriate equipment, including attire, rackets, and footwear, in accordance with Federation rules and safety standards.
7. Participation in Competitions
7.1 Eligibility: To participate in official competitions, players must be registered members of the Federation and meet the eligibility requirements outlined for each event.
7.2 Rules: All participants are required to adhere to the official rules and regulations of padel as set by the Federation.
7.3 Amendments to competition formats: Depending on entries, competition formats may need to be amended. Club organisers will organise the draws and seedings and some players may need to move up or down to a different grade to accommodate fair games.
7.4 Dispute Resolution: In the event of disputes during competitions, the Federation’s dispute resolution procedures will apply.
7.5 Safety: Players are expected to participate with safety and health in mind. The Federation is not liable for injuries sustained during competitions or events unless directly attributable to negligence on the part of the Federation or its officers.

8. Data Privacy
8.1 The Federation respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.
8.2 By registering as a member, you consent to the collection and processing of personal data as outlined in the Federation’s privacy policy.
8.3 The Federation will not share your personal data with third parties without your consent unless required by law or to comply with Federation-related obligations.
9. Intellectual Property
9.1 All intellectual property, including but not limited to logos, branding, and content provided by the Federation, remains the property of the Federation.
9.2 Members and participants may not use Federation intellectual property without express permission from the Federation.
10. Limitation of Liability
10.1 The Federation is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with participation in Federation activities or the use of Federation services.
10.2 The Federation’s liability for any direct damages will be limited to the amount paid by the member for their membership or event participation, whichever is applicable.
11. Governing Law
11.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
11.2 Any disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
10. Amendments
10.1 The Federation reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Members will be notified of significant changes, and the updated Terms and Conditions will be posted on the Federation's website.
10.2 Continued participation after changes to the Terms and Conditions constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
